PROCESS OF MAKING COCO PEAT

🛠 Step-by-Step Process

  1. Collection of Coconut Husks

    • Coconut husks are collected from coconut processing units.

  2. Soaking & Retting

    • Husks are soaked in water or naturally retted in pits to soften the fibers.

  3. Fiber Extraction

    • Coir fibers are removed from husks using machines. The leftover dust/pith is cocopeat.

  4. Drying

    • The cocopeat is sun-dried or machine-dried to reduce moisture content.


  1. Sieving
